Farmhouse Retreat
Large bay windows and openable sashes for a weekend farmhouse — bringing the outdoors in, keeping the dust out.
Project overview
About this project
A family weekend retreat on the outskirts of Karachi needed windows that frame the open landscape while standing up to dust and heat. The farmhouse design called for big glass areas — but big glass needs proper sealing in this climate.
Skizo installed 10 large uPVC windows including a wide bay in the main lounge, plus two entrance doors. The frames are finished in a warm woodgrain that suits the rustic setting, and every openable sash has a mosquito screen for comfortable evenings.
Double glazing keeps the interior cool through the afternoon, so the family can enjoy the view without the heat.
